Photoshop: Remove objects from an image with content-aware fill (Video included)

Adobe Photoshop CS5 comes with a unique new feature, called Content Aware Fill, that lets you easily & effortlessly remove an object from your photo. The fill uses surrounding area of your selection to compute what should be filled in it, to make it look as if the selected region never existed.

Using this great new feature, removing an obstruction that is destroying the beauty of your image, becomes as easy as waving a magic wand. Earlier, I used to take help of the Clone Stamp tool to manually hide an area of a picture, to blend it into the background. Now it’s super-easy & super-fast. So, bye bye clone stamp tool, hello Content aware!

While selecting, make sure to select some extra surrounding region of your object also, that helps Photoshop compute what needs to be filled & will also make your work easier.

3. With the object selected, go to edit menu & click on Fill (or simply press Shift+F5).
